I've come to realize just how much we are enamored and influenced by the Advertising that we see on TV and just how afraid of change we are. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, and after I explained to him that the EPA has come out with a study showing that Women who work at home have a 54% higher chance of getting cancer, due to household chemicals, his answer was, ... Drum-roll Please: "Well I really can't get into that because that is the domain of my wife, and besides, why should we buy something from a catalog or website, when I could just run down to the store to get the stuff I need". Honestly, I was shocked. I had just finished explaining to him how with this company, you're basically getting products similar to what you would find at places like Whole Foods, but with the prices that we had come to expect from your local supermarket. In essence our customers are not buying anything new, simply changing where they buy those same products from. Are we so conditioned to doing things the same way that we can't change even when it's in our best interest? Even when we're faced with the prospect of poisoning our spouses and our children, are we so set in our ways that we can't even look at the possibility of change? It really doesn't make any sense to me. The funny part is, I didn't get into this for the money, I'm a Systems Administrator. I usually get between $75.00 for Residential and $125.00 an hour for Businesses for providing my clients with Computer Services, and business is great. I'm doing this because I care about my friends and my family, and about our environment. I've seen the damage that can be done by these poisons we keep in our homes, because we think we have no choice, but the truth is that we do have a choice. We can make a difference. We do however have to overcome the sense that we have to keep doing things the same way we've always been doing things, in order to move forward. Consider the following and you tell me if you think it's time for a change:
- More children under four die of accidental poisonings at home than are accidentally killed with guns at home.
- The average home today contains more chemicals than were found in a typical chemistry lab.
- Most dishwashing detergents include naphta, which is a central nervous system depressant, diethanolamine, a possible liver poison, and chlorophenylphenol, a metabolic stimulant that is considered a toxic substance.
- Of all the chemicals commonly found in homes, 150 have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer and psychological abnormalities.
- We have a higher rate of kids with cancer and learning disabilities than ever.
- According to the American Cancer Society, there has been a 26 percent increase in cancer over the last 2 decades!
- Cleaning products and some personal care products release toxic vapors into the air when they are used and even when they are stored. Children may be particularly vulnerable to chemical fumes. They inhale more air per pound of body weight than adults, and because pollutants are generally heavier than air and collect closer to the floor, small children breath greater concentrations than do grown ups.
- Most of us are concerned about the environment, but isn't the environment within our own homes the most important? If the home care and personal care products we are using are toxic and harmful, we are hurting ourselves, our families and the environment.
- Indoor air pollution is a suspected culprit in sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). In 1983, a research team at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, pioneered early research on SIDS & Endorphins. SIDS is higher in the winter because of decreased ventilation!
Points to consider:
~ Less than 2% of synthetic chemicals have been tested for toxicity, mutagenic, carcinogenic, or birth defects.
~ An EPA survey concluded that indoor air was 3 to 70 times more polluted than outdoor air.
~ Another EPA study stated that the toxic chemicals in household cleaners are 3 times more likely to cause cancer than outdoor air.
~ CMHC reports that houses today are so energy efficient that "outgassing" of chemicals has no where to go, so it builds up inside the home.
~ We spend 90% of our time indoor, and 65% of our time at home. Moms, infants and the elderly spend 90% of their time in the home.
~ National Cancer Association released results of a 15 year study concluding that women who work in the home are at a 54% higher risk of developing cancer than women who work outside the home.
~ Cancer is the Number ONE ca
use of death for children.
~ Cancer is the Number ONE killer of women between the ages of 35 and 54.
~ There has been a call from the U.S./Canadian Commission to ban bleach in North America. Bleach is being linked to the rising rates of breast cancer in women, reproductive problems in men and learning and behavioral problems in children.
~ There are more than 3 million poisonings every year. Household cleaners are the Number ONE cause of poisoning of children.
~ Since 1980, asthma has increased by 600%. The Canadian Lung Association and the Asthma Society of Canada identify common household cleaners and cosmetics as triggers.
~ Formaldehyde, phenol, benzene, toluene, xylene are found in common household cleaners, cosmetics, beverages, fabrics and cigarette smoke. These chemicals are cancer causing and toxic to the immune system.
It's important to say that household cleaning and personal care products aren't the only source of chemicals in your home, but they are the easiest ones to replace! What can we do? The answer is to start in small ways at home!"
YES, there's definitely a business opportunity that is linked to the company that we work with, but even if there wasn't, would it not be worth if to switch stores to better your and your families health? If we could show you a way that you could get your household supplies for the same price or less than what you're ALREADY spending, while at the same time being better for you and better for the environment, why would you ever want to go back to using the toxins?

Yesterday, as I was driving home, I called up a friend of mine that I sent an Email to about our program. She said to me, Juan, I've seen all this stuff before. Shacklee, Amway, Herbalife and a dozen others. What the hell is the difference!?
I told her, well in all practical terms, there isn't much of a difference, except for ONE major thing that makes our program far and away the best program out there.
I explained to her that in most of those programs people get disheartened, because if you bring 10 people in through the "Front Door", and within 3 months, 9 will immediately leave out the back. So where's your team? They're MIA. Where's your "Long Term Residual Income". It doesn't exist.
So of course she says, yeah, well again
WTF is the difference with you guys?
Ready? There's a lot of little things that makes a big difference, but here's some of the things that are the same:
With every single program out there, only 1 out of 3 will ever get a single person involved, including ours. With every single program that's out there, only about 5 to 20% will take this seriously and make a business out of it. The rest will just stay on as customers. Which means that 80 to 95% will ONLY stay on as customers.
Once people realize that they can buy similar products for less at GNC, Whole Foods or your local Supermarkets, than what they can buy it from you, then it's over for the people who are ONLY customers. Game over, you lose 80 to 95% of the people you signed in.
Since that's not something that happens with our deal, 95% of the people that place an order this month, will place an order next month. Plain and simple. Residual income. What is easier? Replacing 5% of your customer base, or replacing 95% of your customer base? With those guys, sure you can still do it, but it takes a herculean effort. Let's face it, if I showed you a group of products, that are better for the environment, better for your family's health, and to top it off
priced lower that what you're buying now. Why would you
ever switch back?

DSSA Bill a Big win for Big Pharma?
The dietary-supplement industry is fighting a bid by U.S. Sen. John McCain to force it to disclose ingredients and register with the Food and Drug Administration.
Most of the industrialized world has incredibly restrictive laws governing supplements. People worldwide often purchase supplements from the U.S. because they are freely available at low costs. The Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010 would also strengthen recall authority of any dietary supplement the FDA finds to be hazardous.
Obviously, forcing small companies to go through the FDA's Billion Dollar drug approval process would be way too expensive for natural substances that can't be patented, and would drive up the costs of Natural Supplements substantially.
Tucson's Food Conspiracy Co-op on Fourth Avenue is urging visitors to its Facebook page to take action against the bill, warning it would "create administrative hurdles that small supplement companies could not take on, leaving only products from large pharmaceutical companies."
McCain, who is teaming on the bill with Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., held a press conference in early February to tout it, flanked by several athletes, including swimmer Kicker Vencill, who was banned from the Olympics after taking a tainted supplement. He successfully sued the manufacturer but missed out on the Olympics.
Strong Opposition to DSSA
Stung by rapidly escalating criticism about the bill's intent, McCain made a floor speech last week saying he introduced the legislation at the behest of Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the American College of Sports Medicine, along with several other sports organizations.
He recalled the case of Phoenix Suns' star Tom Gugliotta, who almost died in 2000 after taking a "sleep aid" that sent him into a seizure.
But McCain said the bill was also introduced for the half of all Americans who take some kind of supplement. "People have died from taking dietary supplements, including a young mother and wife who lived in my home state, and thousands have had to be hospitalized or seen by a doctor due to an adverse reaction from a dietary supplement."
Of course, McCain didn't introduce a bill to do anything about the more than 100,000 people a year that die from drug interactions from the Pharmaceutical industry.
He said it was about "truth in labeling," saying it only makes sense because Americans can get ingredients off the side of a cereal box or a container of yogurt.
McCain spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan said it's important for consumers to know ingredients, too, because some compounds may interact poorly with or nullify their prescription drugs.
Buchanan said the bill has been mischaracterized by opponents. The biggest misconception? "That John McCain is trying to take away people's vitamins. It's just not true. He wants to make is safer for you to take your vitamins."
All of this could change, however, if DSSA passes. DSSA would change key sections of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C), undoing protections in the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994, effectively eliminating free access to supplements.
The importance of DSHEAThe passage of DSHEA resulted from millions of Americans who worked hard to reinforce their freedom to buy and sell supplements. At the time, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was alleging that nutrients like CoQ10 and selenium were dangerous and should be pulled from the market.
Of course, today we know that supplements like CoQ10 have can vastly improve human health, and there are studies that show that CoQ10 can be more beneficial than some of the expressive medications that have been approved by the FDA. In a way, CoQ10 is costing big Pharma Billions in additional profits!
Though weak in some areas, DSHEA established a foundation upon which free access to dietary supplements would be protected from attacks by drug companies and the FDA.
What prompted DSSA?McCain's DSSA bill emerged in response to illegal steroid use among Major League Baseball players. Likely instigated by pharmaceutical interests, the bill is being posited as necessary to prevent supplement adulteration.
The FDA already has the power to pull supplements from the market that are contaminated but it has not been doing its job. DSSA is not only unnecessary, but it would actually reward the FDA for its failures. DSSA would also strip DSHEA and give full control of the supplement industry to the FDA.
Registration requirementsDSSA would mandate that all supplement companies register with the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), which oversees the FDA. Any company that refuses to register and comply with HHS would be subject to hefty fines, the classification of its products as "adulterated", and their removal from the market. The new system would burden manufacturers with significant new costs that would cause supplement prices to increase. A new taxpayer-funded bureaucracy would also be created to conduct inspections and oversee compliance.
Reporting requirementsDSSA would require all "non-serious adverse events" received by supplement companies to be reported to the government, regardless of whether or not the events are related to the supplements for which they are submitted. Pharmaceutical companies would have access to these reports which they could use to petition the FDA to have supplements removed from the market. The FDA could also arbitrarily pull supplements from the market if it believes it has "reasonable probability" that there
may be a problem.
FDA would decide which supplements are legalPerhaps the most chilling aspect of DSSA is that it would allow the HHS Secretary to establish a list of permitted supplements. Reversing common law, which assumes all is legal unless restricted, DSSA would allow only what is permitted to be legal.
In a nutshell, DSSA would increase supplement costs for consumers, grant incredible new power over the supplement industry to the FDA, and drastically limit the availability of supplements. Drug companies could also use the bill to remove supplements from the market, patent them, and sell them as drugs!
It is absolutely critical to contact your Congressmen and oppose this bill.

(CBS) If you're trying to protect your family from the toxins contained in some cleaners, "all-natural" products seem like the way to go.
But are those products really what they claim to be? Urvashi Rangan, director of technical policy at Consumer Reports magazine, explained on "The Early Show" which so-called "green" products are, indeed, legitimate.
In recent years, Rangan said, there's been a rise in the demand for natural products. Food, personal care products, cleaning agents, detergents and soaps are just some of the growing market. Rangan attributes the rise in interest because consumers believe all-natural products are safer for humans and for the environment.
"Companies are noticing this demand, and they're marketing their products as all-natural," she said. "Problem is, when it comes to personal care products and household cleaners, there's no one regulating them. There's no government-sponsored set of guidelines, like the USDA oversees food products. So really, there's no way to tell if these products are actually all-natural."
With household cleaners, some of the brands you may know best, such as Tide, Rangan said, do not fall into the "all-natural" category. Rangan said some cleaners may even contain harmful chemicals, but the manufacturers aren't obligated to list all the ingredients.
"Right now, the law requires product labels to list immediately hazardous ingredients, but there is no labeling requirement for ingredients that may cause harm over time," she said
Rangan pointed out that some products have warning labels because they contain some pretty potent chemicals.
"That's required by law," she said. "But for many of the products, companies aren't even required to list the ingredients of their products."
Rangan said Tide, for example, doesn't list any of the ingredients that make up the actual detergent.
However, some are working to change the guidelines, Rangan said, mentioning that Sen. Al Franken is hoping to pass a piece of legislation that would require that household cleaning products and similar products bear a label that contains a complete and accurate list of all the product's ingredients.
"It seems like as this market expands, the regulations might be soon to follow," she said.
Some all-natural products, such as shampoos and moisturizers, have begun to carry a new seal from the Natural Products Association (NPA), a non-profit watchdog group.
In order for a product to be deemed natural by the NPA, it must be made up of 95 percent natural ingredients, it must be safe for human use and safe for the environment, it cannot have been tested on animals (except where required by law) and it must use biodegradable ingredients and environmentally sensitive packaging. However, Rangan pointed out, the NPA is not government-run group. The privately-run organization, she said, is determining what they think is natural using a list of guidelines that must be met.
However, the guidelines are a good way to help determine if a product is actually natural, she said. Rangan added the manufacturers must also disclose their list of ingredients in order to get the seal, which, she says is also a step in the right direction.
But what if you have some of the more powerful cleansers in your home? Rangan suggested, first, that you keep them away from children.
"Put these types of cleansers away on the top shelf, or locked away somewhere -- out of the reach of young children," she said. "In 2006, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, poison control centers reported about two million unintentional poisoning or poison exposure cases, many of which probably could have been avoided if the proper precautions had been taken. And always follow the directions on the label."
Rangan also recommends using the liquid-based cleansers over spray.
"With liquids, you have better control over the way the product gets in the air," she said. "When you're spraying these products, the harmful chemicals can get into the air easier."
There are also homemade all-natural cleaners you can try, such as baking soda and vinegar.
Rangan said, "It might not be as powerful, but it's much safer."

Zoho Show is the system we use to do our online presentations. The following is a step by step tutorial on how to get this done.
The first thing you want to do is get to Zoho Show by typing in, without the ‘www’, http://show.zoho.com.
You’ll see a sign on page, where you can sign in with your Google or Yahoo account, after which, if this is your first time, it will prompt you to create a user name for the service.
Once you’ve successfully signed on, notify your support team and one of us will get the Presentation to you. After the presentation has been shared to you, you simply sign on to your Zoho Show account, and go to the “Shared Presentations” Group, from where you will select
“Shared to Me”.
Once there, you will see the presentation and click on the name of it, (not on the part that says “Slideshow”)
Once you’re in the “Editing Mode”, you need to make the presentation “Writeable” so click on the “More” button and select “Duplicate Presentation”. At this point, you will be prompted to name the file, just keep the same name and let’s go on to the next step.
The top bar now has a bunch of new buttons available and what you need to do is to select the “Remote” button and then select, “Make Remote”. Once this step is completed a Dialog box appears allowing you to invite someone via email to look at your presentation.
Put in one or two email addresses (if you want more you have to buy the premium service) and click on send. You will notice that you now will move to the “Invited List” Tab across the top of the box. Select the “Remote” tab to get back to the other side and click on the “Start” Button. As a side note, we recommend doing these presentations strictly on a one on one basis, unless you’re training someone you’ve recruited on utilizing the system. Otherwise you tend to diminish the “Energy” aspect that I talk about on a previous post.
Once here, you simply click on Start Remote Link, and wait for your prospect to show up on the “Participants List”. Along the top, you’ll see a button that says “Show Notes”. Make sure you click on that so you know what to say. There’s a line right above the text, drag that line up, until you can comfortably read the text. Your prospect can’t see these notes, the only thing they see is the presentation in full screen. Simply read the notes, then click on the “next” button on the top left. Once you finish your prospect WILL sign up, so make sure you’re ready with the Online Membership Application ready to go.

Why you DON'T want a
fully automated marketing system.
A friend of mine was telling me about FAP Turbo, a fully automated Forex Robot that you basically set and forget, and how he bought it to make some serious money in the futures market. So far, in about a month of trades, he's made about 1.7%. Not exactly the 500% to 5000% levels he was promised in the advertising. What happened? Was he lied to about the Robot's results when the developers demoed it?
No, at least not really. Here's the problem. The "Robot" works on certain assumptions on the Market, and formulates pairs to trade. Once you've saturated the markeet with way too many people doing the same trades, then there's no longer any real opportunity to make any money on those trades. To put things more simply, the more people that buy the Automated "Robot" the less opporunity there is for anyone else trying to make the same trades. In addition, since they make everyone who buys the robot an affilate that has a vested interest in selling more of these robots, no one will tell you the truth behind these things because they have a vested interest in selling them as well!
These are the same reasons you DO NOT want to get involved in any MLM or Networkk marketing company that promises some "Fully Automated" system, where you dno't have to do any work at all. If the system is setup in such a way, there is very little opportunity left for us by the time that you've heard about it. Why? Because the people who've developed "The System" will be the number one beneficiaries of any automated system and additionally you, as a marketer are now obsolete. You are not required for the companies success. If you, as a person are not requuired, then how can there be a business opportunity for you?
If not that, then what? The best kind of Network Marketing business for you to get involved in would be with a company that has products and services for which there is a genuine need. The products should be competitively priced and have some sort of advantage over the competition. Only with this combination are you assured that your clients will continue to reorder without much intervention from you.
The Company that we're involved with doesn't allow auotomated presentations for this very reason. We have to value the presenter and be keeping that value, we're also making it possible to actually have an opportunity for each and every person that continues to join. Even now after the company has been around for over 20 years, you still see people come in, apply themselves and develop 6 figure incomes within a few short years. How many MLM's, Automated Systems or flash in the pan opportunities can the same be said of?
We've developed a system where you can work part time, just 40 to 50 hours a month, where you can develop a REAL business run by REAL people. Not Robots. A business that has a proven track record and customers that have a 95% reorder rate. Every month, year after year.-----------------------------------

From Network Marketing Legend...
It's all just a matter of common sense, really. If you look at the thousands of network marketing companies out there and the millions of people who are signed up in one or more network marketing opportunities, you only see about 5% of the people involved making "real" money. If network marketing worked as well as so many people advertised there would be a far higher percentage of people making great incomes. What is the reason that so many people fail?First, if you take a look at ANY business you basically see the same numbers. My brother is in the pool business, I once heard a real estate agent say that Pool Guys are a "Dime a Dozen". Yet my brother makes well over a quarter of a million a year. Not bad for one of those "Dime a Dozen" pool guys.Network marketing, however does have it's special challenges. Honestly, it's just way too easy to get into. What I mean by that is that a person who spent $20K to start up a pressure washing business is going to put far more time and energy into it than somebody who just bought a $30.00 kit from an MLM company. Does this mean that the Pressure washer guy is going to make a ton of money? Probably not, but at least he'll put a decent enough effort into it to make an OK living out of it.
Usually, network marketing is a case of the blind leading the blind. In every industry there are a few right ways and many wrong ways to build your business.Another BIG issue with most Network marketing companies is that MLM products are generally not something you would buy if you were not involved in the opportunity. This makes it hard for you to attract and retain regular customers who will provide you with ongoing income. Who's going to continue to pay 2 to 3X more for similar products you could buy at your local Whole Foods Grocer on an ongoing basis when they've already stopped doing the business portion of your MLM?
Due to the lack of proper training mentioned before, you don't know how to attract customers or business partners and when you do talk to someone you say the wrong things. To make matters worse, if you utilize some of the "High Pressure" techniques your upline told you to use, you alienate your friends and relatives.Times are tough, and I can understand why you might be looking for an MLM 'Opportunity' or some sort of Network Marketing Solution.. It's precisely because of the fact that Network Marketing Opportunities are so inexpensive to get into that many people want to get involved. So what does a great Network Marketing Opportunity look like? The first thing you want to look for is a company with a PROVEN track record. The vast majority of new business ventures fail, and doubly so for MLM's and Network Marketing Opportunities. Ask yourself these questions: - Is the company over 5 years old? (90% don't make it past this point)
- Do they have a Proven Track Record of Growth?
- Are they still growing? Are they declining?
- Do they have a lot of debt?
The second thing the ideal network marketing solution would have is products that truly serve a genuine need. There are way too many MLM companies out there, where the MLM IS the product and where it would be completely useless without the attached opportunity. Remember most of the people that join a Network marketing company WON'T do the business part, so this means that the products have to stand up for themselves. If they don't or they can't, then move on. Ask yourself these questions:
- Do you personally 'Love' the products?
- Are the products as good or better than National Brands?
- Are the products priced competitively against National Brands?
- Is there something unique about the products that make them a better choice over National Brands?
If your answer is no to ANY of the above questions, It's best to save your money and move on. If you don't personally love the products, your prospects will know, trust me on this one. Obviously if the products are not at least as good as the National Brands, you're dead in the water, and if they're priced too high, the 90+ percent that are not doing the business part will simply leave once they realize the business portion isn't working out for them. Finally if the products are unique in some way, that will help with the retention of the every day customer, as long as the other 3 are true.
The Third and Final peice of the puzzle is your team. In a way this is the most important aspect of your Network Marketing Business. Let me tell you a liittle story. I remember when IBM came out with OS/2. Here was an operating system that came out at about the same time that Windows 3.0 Came out, yet is was comparible to Windows NT, which was years later in the making. It neveer caught on. Years later, when IBM came out with
OS/2 Version2, it was comparible to Windows 2000, again at least 5 years or so before Windows 2000 actually came out. A superior product,
but with inferior marketing. Your team must be versed in the new technolgois that are in use to day to grow a network and make
you part of that system. If they can't, and are stuck in the old ways of doing business, then it's best to move on.

Deciphering Labels and Going Green to Protect Your Health and EnvironmentWhen you clean your oven, toilet, bath tile, kitchen floor, or windows, you can smell the toxins. The label even warns you to wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and please do not breath the fumes. If it’s too dangerous to touch it can’t be clean. What kind of residues are left in your oven, where you prepare food for you family? What about that kitchen floor your children are crawling on or the bathtub they are sitting in?
These everyday products diminish indoor air quality by introducing a plethora of harmful chemicals. Is it possible that the air inside your home is 5 to 100 times more toxic than the air in Los Angeles, Atlanta, or Chicago? If you use bleach, traditional cleaning products, air fresheners, dry cleaning services, or other common household chemicals, it probably is.
The EPA reports poisonings as the #1 cause of hospital visits by children. Some hospitals report 79% of all poison control center cases involve children, 64% occur in children under age 5. The toxins commonly found under a kitchen sink are often the culprit. We welcome toxic chemicals into our homes in the name of cleanliness, but how clean is a home full of carcinogenic residues?
Green alternatives are the only alternative. As the truth about the chemical and petroleum industries leaks, consumers are faced with harsh realities. People want to protect their families, but it is hard to read between the advertising lines. Marketing gurus put flowers on bottles of poison, use the word ‘green’ to distract from a petrochemical additive, and leave out ingredient listings all together. The fact is chemical companies don’t have to list the ingredients on household cleaning products.
Here’s the research. This is not a complete or exhaustive list of all the possible ingredients in that spray that claims to be safe around food. The only way to truly get all the information is to check out the Material Safety Data Sheet or Mass Spectrometry results posted on the manufacturer’s website. I’ve divided ingredients into three categories based on safety first. The Dark Side: Chemicals that Harm
Petrochemicals: These are petroleum based products that leave dangerous residues. These products may be derived from oil, coal, or natural gas and used to make plastics, pesticides, health care products, and cleaners. These chemicals have been linked to cancers, neurological illnesses, and environmental devastation. Dry cleaning chemicals, such as perchloroethylene, are part of this group. These chemicals are commonly listed as ethylene, propylene, benzene, benzol, annulene, phenyl hydride, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, monoethanolamine, and xylene.
Tetrachloroethylene: also called perchloroethylene, used as a dry cleaning solvent and degreaser, cause skin rashes, headaches, and dizziness Amyl acetate: a synthetic grease cutter, is a neurotoxin implicated in central nervous system depression, found in conventional furniture polishes.
Naphthalene: a member of the carcinogenic benzene family derived from coal tar or made synthetically, known to bio-accumulate in marine organisms, causes allergic skin reactions and cataracts, alters kidney function=2 0and is extremely toxic to children, found in conventional deodorizers, carpet cleaners, toilet deodorizers.
Methylene chloride: also called dichloromethane, is a volatile, colorless liquid with a chloroform-like odor, used in various industrial processes including paint stripping, pharmaceutical manufacturing, paint remover manufacturing, and metal cleaning and degreasing, beware of inhalation and skin exposure. OSHA considers methylene chloride to be a potential occupational carcinogen.
Ammonia: The scent alone will tell you to stay away. This chemical can irritate the lungs, eyes, and mucus membranes. It is extremely dangerous when mixed with other chemicals such as bleach. Ammonia adds nitrogen to the environment often resulting in disruptions to the ecosystem including toxic effects to plants, fish and animals. Ammonia is included as a toxic chemical on the EPA’s Community Right-to-Know list. The FDA also regulates the amount of ammonium compounds in food. Ammonia is found in conventional window cleaners.
Chlorine: The bleaching agent in household bleach such as Clorox. Though it will get whites whiter, this chemical is extremely irritating to the lungs, skin, and mucus membranes. It was used as a powerful poison in World War I. Chlorine is the household chemical most frequently involved in household poisonings. Chlorine also ranks first=2 0in causing industrial injuries and deaths resulting from large industrial accidents.
